Sip Local. Support Local.

In Toronto we’re lucky to be surrounded by a thriving food and beverage industry. There are countless restaurants, breweries, and bars that can satisfy any food or drink craving we have. With the outbreak of COVID-19 many of these businesses have had to close entirely or provide take-out only. In the interest of supporting local businesses we would like to highlight the local breweries, wineries, and services we are using to enjoy our favourite tipples while maintaining a safe distance.

Burdock Brewery

Founded in 2015 Burdock Brewery occupies an understated corner on Bloor Street between Lansdowne and Dufferin stations. Any day of the week it’s typically filled with a mix of friends, young families and those from the neighbourhood looking to grab some delicious, simple eats paired with some decidedly delicious and un-simple beer. Their bottle shop is stocked with crisp pale ales and lagers, fruit forward sour beers, and incredible wine-beer blends.

During COVID-19 closures Burdock is offering same day and next day beverage delivery throughout Toronto. Free delivery on orders of one case or more, otherwise a flat $10 rate.

Located an hour and a half west of Toronto in the Niagara Region, Pearl Morissette is a small producing winery built on the principles of minimal-intervention.
